Titans victorious in Sherwood Park – November 15

The Titan’s have been on a bit of a roll lately and last night’s game was no exception. The players put in a strong effort from the drop of the puck in the first period until the end of the game. They were relentless in their fore-check giving up a scant 15 shots on net while peppering the SP goalie with 50. The final score of 4-1 was flattering to the SP team as it could have been far more lopsided with the Titans missing glorious opportunities on several breakaways and open nets, in addition to the three posts that were hit. It would have been hard to pick the game stars on the team except there was one stand-out player on the ice, namely, the SP goaltender who stood on her head making brilliant save after save. As Titan’s coach Don Wilson said after the game, “Their goalie probably shed 20lbs after that performance.” While that may be a bit of an exaggeration the point was not.

There is no time to gloat as the opposition for Sunday’s game is the number one ranked team in the entire league, the Edmonton Wolves, and everyone knows how difficult that game is expected to be.

Go Titan’s!!!
